We used the following criteria as yardstick for our selected areas:
- We must possess Intimate knowledge of the area and well established local partners.
- The area must offer a great lifestyle- fun factor.
- Country and region must have economies that show promise for future growth and development.
- Country must have a well- established legal system that protects the property rights of the individual.
- Country must allow foreign nationals to purchase and hold title to local property in fee simple.
- Country must allow short and long term stay of foreign nationals (Visa requirements)
- The timing must be right to buy at a good price (weak market, weak currency- manageable political instability, etc.)
- The location must provide excellent medical facilities/ healthcare.
